Monica is a self-taught impressionist painter. Her style was uniquely developed by bringing together inspiration from the beautiful landscapes of Georgian Bay, the use of light and texture, and rich colour stories. As she grew as an artist, she received recognition and nomination for her artistic works. Most recently, she was honoured to be named The Mirror's Reader's Choice Diamond Winner 2021 for Best Local Artist and Visual Artist and Local Artist for 2022. Monica's paintings have been featured in The Bay Studio Tour, Quest Art Gallery, the Orillia Museum of Art and History, The Double Door Gallery, and other local venues. Her works include a number of private commissions for collections in Canada and Europe.  

To continue to develop her skill, Monica engages in workshops and retreats to collaborate with other painters. Painting en plein air has provided Monica with an immersive experience that inspires much of her work. She expresses her appreciation for the natural world using oil on canvas.
